Over the years, a few studies have appeared in the peer-reviewed literature suggesting that a breastfeeding mother who exercises may reduce the amount of breast milk produced and in turn hamper the growth of her infant. Fortunately, Daley et al. (doi: 10.1542/peds.2011-2485) decided to look systematically at this issue by looking only at randomized controlled trials (RCTs) using a variety of search engines to identify appropriate studies.
